Twelve cameras try to capture, and come very close, the essence and electric sensuality of Africando in the flesh. Without question, one of the best videos of a live performance bar none!
The camera work is excellent, the lighting ample but not overblown, the band in top form and the dancing is hot and not overly staged or self-conscious. People who are familiar with this African-Caribbean-NYC super group have this added pleasure to enjoy. Those not famliar with this international phenomenon, do yourself a favor and buy it. Then patch it through those woofers and tweaters of your system and turn it up!

IF THE ENGINEERS THAT RECORDED AND MIXED THIS CONCERT KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING....THIS DVD WOULD HAVE BEEN A GEM OF A RECORDING, BUT UNFORTUNATELY THEY HAD NO IDEA WHAT LEVELS OF DISTORTION THEY WERE INJECTING TO THE MELODIOUS TUNES OF THIS SUPERB AND OUTSTANDING LATIN-AFRICAN SALSA ENSEMBLE!!!
ALL THE SONGS ARE GREAT PIECES OF INSPIRATION AND PASSION, BUT THE QUALITY OF THE SOUND SPOILS THE WHOLE SHOW, LEAVING US WITH JUST ONE OPTION:
TO LISTEN TO THE OTHER STUDIO RECORDINGS AND WAIT FOR THE NEXT LIVE CONCERT WITH PROFESSIONAL SOUND ENGINEERS!!
