I have enjoyed this DVD. Learning about the lives of those who wrote these beloved hymns makes singing them even more moving and inspirational. What would have made the DVD more gratifying, though, is if all stanzas of the hymns had been performed.

This is a great project. It is an effective dramatization of the stories of some of our most beloved hymns. The performances are great. One thing that impressed me is that they had an African American soloist sing "Amazing Grace", written by a former slave trader who repented.

I love the 5 hymns. However, for me, the video has too much story of the hymns and not enough actual music.

Wow! Five of the most wonderful, deep, touching and inspirational hymns ever, their history of how they were written brings them even more alive and makes them even more meaningful, their impact over the years, the people who wrote them and their lives. This video is so awesome, uplifting, comforting. Beautiful video, very well done.

"A good video to increase your appreciation towards hymns. Narration, scenery, documentary videos and beautiful performance on each of the hymn discussed were certainly helpful. The only shortcoming that I noticed in the video is how some parts of the video clip were used repeatedly. Overall though, the video is enjoyable and really touching."
