Taking reggae to another level...Oct 28, 2002
This DVD is the next best thing to seeing Beres live and in person. It also includes guest performances by Maxi Priest, Wyclef, & more! It's a great quality concert--almost 2 hours! A must have for any Beres fan...it includes an interview and his music videos.

For SERIOUS lover's rock reggae fansFeb 19, 2004

"Father Beres" should be more widely known as he has been producing top reggae artists for decades. If you know anything about top reggae producers of the 80's and 90's you will know about Sly and Robbie and then you should also know Beres Hammond! His music is for the serious lover's rock fan, but he is known for producing music for the likes of Shabba Ranks, Maxi Priest and Buju Banton. This DVD showcases his albums of the past and present up to the album "Music is Life". The ONLY flaw of the DVD is the 5.1 mix could have been a tad bit better, as there is a tad bit too much reverb, BUT if you set your DVD player to "pro logic" mode or know how to tweak the delay in your DVD audio settings this will be no set back to you at all. Compared to other top live reggae dvd's, it't a gem! Either way, buy the DVD!! Beres shows a whole lot of energy on this and the guest appearances by Maxi Priest and Wyclef Jean make this show off the chain! You will be thoroughly entertained! The bonus material of the opening acts are somewhat mediocre, but the interview with Beres gives you a good insight to what he has done/is doing for Reggae music. I can play this DVD over and over and not get tired of it, and can't suggest any stronger that you get it. This one is in my top 5, including Bob's Santa Barbara performance, Ziggy Marley's Live, Morgan Heritage live at Astoria. Get those too!

This is a Great DVD! I enjoy listening to Beres each time. I can let his music play all day while relaxing and doing house chores. (Makes cleaning much more enjoyable! :} And not to mentioned Maxie he was Superb and a treat! This is a must have for Ladies who are Beres and Maxie Fans.

I actually was at that concert and boy what a show. Beres is very entertaining. We all hoped that the show would not come to an end. The dvd was as expected, very entertaining. It was like being at the concert for a second time.

This DVD is well put together. Anyone who loves reggae music will enjoy this. Beres is the "King" of Lovers Rock.
