Bridge to HavanaNov 27, 2004

Although the dvd is excellent as far as it goes, as an owner of the cd, I was extremely disappointed that not all the performances were included. You advertise Bonnie Raitt in your headline, but her song is not included. This is very misleading - a Bonnie Raitt fan would be VERY disappointed! I would have expected at least all the songs on the cd plus some extras on the dvd.
I was left very unsatisfied, and will probably only listen to the cd in the future.

this dvd i bought because of the presence and participation of Bonnie Raitt. Well she appears in the end of the show for a few seconds but no musical contribution from her. the quality of the pictures is very poor and is's a shame to sell a movie of that kind. my conclusion; worst buy of the year
Thumbs Down for "Havana"Sep 13, 2009

In brief, we ordered this expecting to see performances by the musicians listed in the description -- Glades Knight appeared for about 2-seconds, and many others mentioned didn't appear at all. This is NOT a performance DVD ... It's more of a documentary. I enjoyed passages of the presentation, but not enough to recommend it to you.
Hands across the waterApr 28, 2009

As a Cuban American, I was thrilled to discover this used CD/DVD collection at Pooh Bah Records in Pasadena, Ca. I'd never heard of it but judging from the caliber of the artists, I bought it without even having listened to it. What an exciting project, taking U.S. and British artists to Havana and randomly pairing them with Cuban artists. Their assignment: write a song, record and perform it in a matter of six days. What a heady experience! I would love to be part of such an exciting undertaking. Music is the universal language and the love and connectedness these wonderful musicians projected is very clear. No matter how many times I listen, it's a thrill. 5 STARS!!!!!
feelin goodFeb 18, 2008
By A. Thomas i heard the song feelin good featuring gladys knight at a club in detroit some years ago. it's a wonderful song and gladys is so sweet, and powerful. gladys, should definitely consider placing this song on any new and future recordings of hers. i had to look high and low to find this song because it is not released under gladys knights name. with the release of bridge to havana, it certainly has not gotten the attention it(the song and gladys) deserves.
