Disclaimer: I have not seen this DVD.
However . . . my father just got through phoning me and he was breathless about this DVD that I sent him.
He gushed about the main Mariachi group featured and the staging and singing. This from a man in his 80s who knows mariachi and Spanish-language songs.
Now I am intrigued and have to order it for me.
Linda R needs no praise from me. Her artistry speaks for herself. I think she is amazing.

i couldn't believe that linda ronstadt can sing spanish! i knew her as a well rounded english singer but i never knew she could sing spanish. the only way i found out was when i bought this original soundtrack of "mambo kings" and 2 of the songs there were spanish sang by linda and i was impressed. so i looked in music stores and found out she has released at least 2 spanish albums. i first bought her first spanish album "canciones de mi padre" produced by peter asher of peter and gordon fame. then i bought her live concert in dvd with the title of her first spanish cd album. both cd and dvd are super great. her renditions of spanish songs are terrific, you wouldn't distinguish if the singer is hispanic or a westerner because the voice and rendition of the songs are very very latin. so i bought her second spanish album and it is a delight. you can never go wrong with linda when it comes to spanish song renditions. superb voice and impeccable rendition, bravo!
