 Great Concert Despite Bad 5.1 MixFeb 26, 2004
The 23 track listing minus Jamas Te Prometi Un Jardin De Rosas (available on the CD only) has many problems including the 5.1 surround mix. Starting with the first 3 songs, Rocio Durcal had problems with her voice because of the faulty sound system. When you hear the track, you might think that the DVD was on mono. The full orchestra and Mariachi could not follow the tempo while one of the background vocalist did not follow the songs. Durcal seemed distant from the audience almost as if they were not there. Bad editing could not keep Rocio's voice hidden for long and soon enough when the full arrangement gets their act together, it all seems to work out. Also be aware of the terrible cut away scenes of the crowd, which you can barely hear. Enrique Guzman makes a brief appearance including Antonio Morales. Despite the bad lighting, Rocio makes 3 wardrobe changes with 22 of her greatest hits sung with enthusiasm. Full Frame. Sound: D+ DVD: B

I THINK THIS CONCERT IS ONE OF HER BEST ONES, AFTER THE ONE ON 1991 AT THE SAME NATIONAL AUDITORIUM OF MEXICO CITY... ALL OF HER BEST IS ON THIS FILM, HER HITS, HER NEW REALESES DURING THE 90'S AND SOME OF HER NEWEST ALBUM FROM THE 2001 CD, "ENTRE TANGOS Y MARIACHI"... I HIGHLY RECOMEND THIS DVD AND IF YOU ARE A FAN OF ROCIO DURCAL, YOU JUST GOT HAVE IT!!!. GOOD LUCK AND ENJOY THE MAGIC OF RD

IS a great concert the only bad thing about it is abit dark, I can tell it was a taped concert because the lighting and sound is not the best quality but the memories were priceless.

If you are a fan of Rocio Durcal or you want to enjoy a super show by a super Spanish performer with a fantastic voice, this is it! Every song is simply great and the interpretations get better and better as the show goes on. This is a must buy and you will watch the show many times!!
