Great if you have never been able to see themMay 24, 2010 Since the band only plays a show every 3 or 4 years this is the only way most people will get to watch them.
Ridiculously awesome band, great DVD!Jan 02, 2008 After reading the previous reviews about how the frequent cutaways to the crowd "ruined" the DVD, I had second thoughts about buying it. However, eventually my fanhood got the best of me. I'm glad it did, because this is a great DVD and (as a previous poster noted) a must have for any DHC fan.
The cutaways aren't nearly as bad as others may make it seem. Sure, it'd be great if they showed Karina and Elyse 100% of the time, but overall it's still a great video if you really like the band. Karina is full of energy and it shows throughout the performance. They sound great too -- just like the live CD that they put out a few years back.
My only complaint is that I wish they'd do some shows here in Ohio so I could see them live!

a must have for DHC fans. . .Aug 29, 2007 If you became a fan of them sometime after the year 2000, you realized that they don't really play shows that much anymore and became very frustrated and upset. So, this DVD is the answer to all your problems. Where else are you going to see them?
This DVD also has A NEW SONG that's really good, a bunch of songs that were NOT on the live album, and still packs the same amount of energy and excitement (in other words, they're not dull like a lot of other live DVD's/CD's).
Why not 5 stars? Too many cutaways to the audience, and on a lesser note, too many cuts in general. It does get kind of distracting, but by no means makes it unwatchable or will it spoil your viewing experience.

F U Steven ThomsonSep 15, 2005 I think this is a def buy for anyone that is a DHC fan. With them not touring (that much) anymore...this will semi-satisfy your live show need (I say "semi" b/c nothing really does satisfy like a real live show). Love the music! Love the DHCs!

Great band, terrible DVDSep 15, 2005 First of all, who was the spastic genius who decided that concert films had to change camera angles every five seconds? This is terribly anoying, especially when every third shot is of the same audience members. This may be fun for a home video, but not for a mass marketed commercial release.
The Dance Hall Crashers are an awesome band. Much of the fun of seeing the DHC in concert is their highly kinetic stage presence. It would have been great if this DVD had concentrated on the band as a whole and not just different extreme closeups switched at a dizzying rate.
And since the DHC are supposed to be the focus, why does the director insist on featuring so many shots of the audience? It gets on your nerves.
I love the DHC. Their live CD has a permanent place on my playlist. But this horribly made DVD only made it through three songs. Perhaps if I had been at the front of the stage that night, I would appreciate it more.
