By kateland INDIANS and DANCE..STUNNING. I have just finished watching THE WORLD OF AMERICAN DANCE. And what a spectacular event. I thought the costumes were just breathtaking, with all the beautiful colors that were in them. LIVING on the otherside of the world, i have never seen an Indian. But like others, i became interested in them watching the old cowboys and indian movies. And i dont think that they were real indians either, instead well known actors all made up to look like indians. JEFF CHANDLER comes to mind. BUT THESE WERE REAL. i saw real indians. Good looking proud people keeping up their Ancestors Traditions, performing their very energetic danceing. Cloaked in magnifcent costumes, many with feathers, and glowing with so many beautiful colors. And their were tiny children too, dressed in nice indian costumes, doing their dance, what a joy to watch. This is an excellent Documentary of INDIAN DANCE, MUSIC, COLOR. It demonstrates the ancient, as well as the new struggles between intertribal cultures, progress, tradition, spiritually and commerce. I feel privileged to have this DVD. The picture quality is of a high standard. HD.
