Chaudhari Niranjansingh is living a happy and contended life, he has everything wealth, power and cogency. In the way of family there are two beautiful and charming daughters in his stately mansion Tulsi and Soorajmukhi. In Niranjansinghs youth an event had occured in which the main character of that terrible event, the widow mother of Tulsi, having given her an Illegitimate birth, had sacrificed her life on the altar of prestige, both her own and Chaudharis. A decade has passed, but the memories of the past still chase their conscience, who is eager to repay that sacrifice in whatever way he can and absolve his conscience. Brought up at the house of Niranjansingh for the first five years of her life, Tulsi came to Niranjansingh along with Sujan, the son of that friend. Niranjan had dreamt of marrying Tulsi to Sujan, but Sujan suddenly disappeared from his house oneday altering the happiness of Tulsi and Chaudhri. Chaudhri decided to announce that he will give a lot of wealth to whoever marries Tulsi but his kinsmen refused due to Tulsi's shady birth. Chaudhri was heart broken. But out of the blue came back Sujan and accepted to marry Tulsi. On their wedding journey Sujan was shot deade by the kinsmen and Tulsi returned to her ancestral home a widow to pass away her future. At the same time there comes a a house guest, Manvirsingh to Kaudi's home (who is a child hood friend of Tulsi). To the surprise of everyone Manvirsingh resembled Sujan to the T. What happens now? This is a story og greed and sacrifice, pride and vanity, duty and love, life and death, tears and laughter that life is compressed of.
